Melanie Gardner

Melanie Gardner has performed numerous roles in both opera and musical theater, including the title role in Suor Angelica, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Mrs. Ham in Noye’s Fludde, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. Melanie has also performed with the New Orleans Opera Chorus and fronted her own jazz band in New Orleans. Melanie is a member of The Asylum Chorus, an original band out of New Orleans, performing at Voodoo Fest, French Quarter Fest, and Preservation Hall, in addition to recording two full albums of original music. Melanie is an active teacher, with ten years of experience teaching private voice lessons and musical theater classes. Melanie is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Mobile.
