Nocturne: An Evening of Romantic Piano Masterpieces

Music by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Glinka, Fauré, Grieg, and more!

Theresa Sanchez, piano

Experience the poetry, intimacy, and expressive beauty of the piano nocturne in an unforgettable evening featuring works by some of the greatest composers of the Romantic era and beyond. Nocturne explores one of the most beloved genres in the piano repertoire—a musical form inspired by the atmosphere of night, characterized by lyrical melodies, dreamlike textures, and deeply personal expression.

The genre was elevated to extraordinary heights by Frédéric Chopin, whose nocturnes transformed the piano into a voice capable of expressing the most subtle human emotions. His influence inspired generations of composers, including Mikhail Glinka, Peter Tchaikovsky, Gabriel Fauré, Charles Lamb, and Edvard Grieg, each bringing their own distinctive style and imagination to the form.

Join us for an evening of musical storytelling, where every melody invites reflection, every phrase evokes a mood, and the beauty of the night comes alive through the artistry of the piano.
